Rotations Challenge
The blue shape has been rotated about the red point to create the green shape.
Can you work out where the centre of rotation is to create each purple shape? Use the pen tool to mark the points.
Select the red point, and move it to place the green shape over each of the purple shapes.
To change the angle of rotation, use the slider.
In each case does the red point match the points you drew?
For each rotation, describe the transformation fully.
Now draw a new centre on the graph. Move one of the purple shapes to where the blue shape will end up when rotated about this point. Move the red point to check if you are correct.
