Finding Lengths
The activity below can be used to practice finding the lengths of missing sides of right angled triangles using trigonometry.
For each triangle, you must work out the length of the side marked ? and enter your answer into the answer box. When you click "Check Answer", you will be told whether you are correct or not. Answers must be given to 1 decimal place.
Once you have worked out the values, you can create a new question, by dragging any of the 3 vertices of the triangle.
You can also switch between the blue angle and red angle by clicking on them.

Ideas for Teachers
This is a great resource for pupils to use at home or in a computer room to practise the skill of finding missing lengths using trig.
However, it can also be used on the board, with the questions projected for the whole class to do. With a little tweaking you can get a whole new set of questions.
Each triangle is aimed at a different type of method of solution, and changing which angle is given by clicking on it is an excellent way to mix it up a bit.
